Damn i have a virus... Help............

yea every time i go to bed and wake up. I will have these virus found messages come up. Nortons is unable to fix. the name of the virus is w32.nimda.enc. could someone please help me with this?

Its amazing how many viruses I get sent to me, I wonder if any of them are intentional...

Thank god for good virus programs.

what a coincidense... my computer *just* found that virus from a bulk e-mail msg i got sent to me 5 minutes ago :shocked:

. there was also a warning here on my network. aparently the nimda is a virus that affects networks the most, but i guess it can be spread through e-mail as well

Go to the Norton site and look up the Nimda virus. There should be a pretty good explanation on how to remove the virus from your computer.

i got one sent to me in an e-mail from someone i know...

it took down my virus protection first... and has infected almost 20 files...

i don' t know if it's the same one though, mine is showing up as this:

W32/klez.h@mm

no but it just so happens that when i was looking for virus info it had a update in the top of the page atlking aobut the virus your talking about

Try www.antivirus.com

If you cant find a tool to fix it you might need to erase everything off of the drive via: fdisk/mbr -fdisk (erase partition then recreate partition) then format & restore of Windows OS -

Good luck, there are some versions of that virus out that the anti-virus sites havent caught yet.
