"any way i have 2 bags of dry verm that isnt dry."

:rofl2:

You might be able to get away with putting it in an oven at around that temperature. If you are using the vermiculite for casings, you might want to take the time to do this, but if you're making cakes, it might just need to dry outside. PCing PF jars for 1 hr @ 15 psi has always done the trick for me, and I don't even wash the damn jars in advance. Hope that helps.

You should really get a PC, they don't cost that much and are the most used item in this hobby.

absolutely no sense in pasteurizing vermiculite... boggles the mind what you people come up with sometimes.

if you want to dry it out, put it in a baking tray or pan, in the oven, crank it up as high as it will go.  you can't "burn" vermiculite so don't worry.  stir around occasionally, and the oven will dry it out in no time flat.  careful those little chunks will burn you... it cools off pretty rapidly too though.

I agree. If your vermiculite's old or something, then do what creamcorn's explaining, or microwave it. No need in pasteurizing vermiculite or perlite.
