FOX Ratings In Free Fall - O'Reilly Leads The Way Down

"Somewhere, Keith Olbermann is sticking pins in a Bill O'Reilly voodoo doll: Fox News' ratings, TVNewser reports, are down since August of last year. Like, way down. Like down 28 percent in primetime among all viewers, down 20 percent in primetime in the "money demo" (viewers aged 25-54) and down 7 percent in daytime viewership overall. In fact, the only place Fox is up is during the day, when they managed a ratings increase of just 2 percent, and even then only in the money demo.

And lest you think this is an industry-wide trend, consider this: over the same time period, CNN and MSNBC are up. CNN's up 35 percent during the day -- 46 percent in the money demo -- and up 21 percent in primetime overall, 25 percent in the money demo. MSNBC's ratings increases aren't quite as impressive -- up 6 percent in primetime overall, 8 percent in the money demo, and up 36 percent in the money demo during the day, 26 percent overall.

We, of course, are Fair and Balanced here, so there won't be any celebrating later tonight. Certainly we will not be opening any champagne. That would be wrong."

Bill O'Reilly's ratings are down 21 percent.

I have nothing against right leaning or left leaning media, but what bothers me about FOX news is their claim to be "Fair and Balanced". Anybody with a slightly below IQ or better can tell that FOX news is anything but "Fair and Balanced".... so why do they feel the need to lie? If they are going to lie about something as trivial as political leaning, how can I trust anything that they report? Unfortunately, their misleading reporting and lack of ethics show this trend extends beyond their catch phrase.

Ive noticed Fox news being weeded out of alot of places...

Waiting rooms, resturants with TV's, just alot of random places that I used to go to that used to air fox news, have since stopped.

And then my friends and family who used to flip to any news station, because afterall, the news is the news... Well, they are starting to have a preference, and relize that each station reports diffrently...and due to open content on the internet, they relize that some stations are heavily biased.

I live in a small world too, but I've noticed. I think its a good thing. I dont necesarily have anything against fox news...but the fact that people are relizing that what is said on the news is not always the gospel of god...well that makes me happy.
