    #615767 - 04/20/02 10:58 AM (21 years, 11 months ago)

hello, if this isn't an advanced question feel free to move it, i was just wondering if you could colonize cubensis mushrooms on human ash or if maybe you could put the ash into a substrate? i thot it'd make a cool thing to put in the will, thanks for the info

why not? i was just thinking about what would happen when i die, and was thinking that it'd be cool to have mushrooms colonize my ash after being cremated, that way, if i did nothing else important, at least i helped give life, and if anyone ate them, i could give knowledge, but if no one knowz then that's fine.

"i could give knowledge"
depends on what you believe, and even in certain "eat-and-learn' ideologies burning prevents it..
ash is good for plants, at times. You lose alot of your C and N when you burn something.. but some other nutrients remain..the little thats left is good for plants.. not fungi..

DinoMyc is right.

besides, what if you got contaminated, and no shrooms ever grew... : ( You're family would be sooooo sad.

But if you want to write it into your will, i'd be glad to at least give it a try.. mind if i add some purina dog chow? (<-- serious about giving it a try, by then i will be a master.... what is your "life" strain? )
