all picked 2 hours ago first time ever huntin can some one help me out on
how i can get the information to help identify them

heres some info so far
i found them near pine trees in a wooded area
they seem to be lighter in the middle and darker when it gets around to the sides

i touch the top of it its a lil bit sticky

im sry if im not givin enough info but could you inform me how you guys can help me out thnx

soil around dead wood and pine needles and ferns
* Characteristics of the gills were white when picked
* Characteristics of the stem thick, solid

* Spore print color coming in awhile
* Color that the mushroom brusis a lil red
* Scent of the mushroom - im not to familiar with mushroom smells cant describe it
* gills starting to darken yellowish top is sticky and moist
lil brown scales

Honey mushroom (armillaria sp.) Inactive, but the caps are edible (stems are too tough.) If you plan on eating honeys, make sure you try a little bit one day to test if you show allergic reactions to them. You can eat more the next day, when you're sure there's no problem.

Oh and be sure to make a sporeprint next time you find something you want id-ed. In this case, it's pretty straightforward, but usually, a sporeprint facilitates the process.
