Bacteria/mold outbreak (ANGRY!)
    #6156426 - 10/10/06 10:30 PM (17 years, 4 months ago)

K.....I've had some jar's in my incubator since july 28th others from august, i thought I had just messed up the moisture content and they were taking awhile...anywho, long story short 30+ jars are contaminated with either, Trich, Lipstick mold (from a bad print "wasnt one of mine) or Bacteria of some sort....

My question is this. I never had a problem like this before, but recently I used the stupid retarded "super pfcake tek" and let me tell you, this does nothing to help increase colonizaiton times or add nutirents all it did was cause every jar made with the straw water to contam with something even after a 90pc....

Anywho, ever since I used my pc to do those super pfcakes I've been having nothing but problems with bacteria/mold.... I read somewhere that a PC can get infected with bacteria, has anyone ever experienced this problem before? I mean, the jar's colonized just fine, but then a liquid formed inside (bactilius) or wetspot bacteria and on other jars little small specks of greenmold popped up but other then that they're fully colonized....

Someone please explain to me what the hell is going on, I'm so confused and the fact that this was a major hit on me, i lost all my spawn jars....I am so angry I want to throw them through a wall.... Please help

They may have just flooded your house with mold spores or something. When i'm not at school, I live in an old house and the air already smells damp-ish, and I have problems with mold like mad there.

I figure a lot of my contamination problems stem from the house being mold-prone or spore-ladened or something. Mayhaps you're in the same boat?

From what I have read and seen you kind of are askin for contams when using starw water. One of the biggest things with using straw as a bulk sub is that unless your shit is fully colonized in 10 days (i think thats the number) thne you are usually fucked couse contams will probably be able to get a foothold. If you really wanna juice up your PF jars you might wanna think bout using kelp water or dung tea or waht not people seem to have good results with them.

Straw water? You mean the dirt and molds that wash off the straw when you soak it? That's not suitable for using.
