Freezing mushrooms?!

My buddy recently bought some shrooms which we intends to concume in about two weeks. As far as he tells me they are totally dry, but the guy he bought them from claims he needs to store them in the freezer. Is this horseshit or is ther some validity to this idea?? I thought dry shrooms were good to go for a while.

Help me out please!!

Since they're dry it really doesn't matter a whole lot so long as you keep them in something sealed. Otherwise they can absorb moisture from the air. I put them in a glass jar. The freezer would keep them dry too, but if it's risky for you to keep them there just stick em in something air tight

If they're dry they're fine. Put em in something airtight, like a small canning jar.
