Paradesend... Yes those are a couple of my "friends" little babies from last season... Made for quite a good winter  .
I'm up for the contest... And I guess I have a pretty good shot being the ratio of guys to girls is like 100:1 lol.

Sorry, I'm with the "get rid of the skirt guys"  Its not the boobs that are distracting to me, its the whole body, stomach mmm..anyways...
You can get a guage on ebay that is acurate. The Acurite brand is one I've found to work well.

Buy one of these, 
The product is called "Tempminder" very accurate and afforable. I used a industerial temp/rh monitoring meter (that was a loner) and this one gave the same results....And I'm not sure about the tropic air system, if it's anything like a coolmist, that's the way to go. take it easy.
From my experience I've found optimal growth parameters to be a little different, although the ones you've posted are within an acceptable range. Cubensis like around a 10 degree drop to initiate pinning so mid 70's is a better temperature to fruit cubes for both cakes and casings.
For cakes the highest Rh you can get is what you want.
For casings keep the humidity at about 95% until pinning then back it off to 85% for them to mature.
I wouldn't recommend crumbling the cakes and just adding a casing layer. If your going to be crumbling the cakes you might as well spawn them to a quality substrate. Just crumbling seems like a waste of the mycelium's energy and a delay in pinning.
If you've been growing mj you should know of a hydroponic shop, there they should have Coco Coir growing medium. This makes a nice easy to prepare substrate to spawn your cakes too and will GREATLY increase your yields.

As far as setting up a fruiting chamber if your just gonna do the cakes you might as well go with the perlite method for humidity

If you plan on making some casings then I suggest you look into getting a coolmist (impeller type) humidifier. And a small mini-green house it will be about a 50 dollar investment but well worth it.

First, welcome to the shroomery! It isn't too often you see chicks on the cult forum here at the shroomery. Your first grow is looking pretty good. I would be carefull with that cracked jar though. I had a cracked jar like that and it ended up getting contaminated throught that damn crack. I was pissed.
So you only have 5 half pint jars colonizing? That isn't very much, but is a start for your first time. If you are going to fruit the cakes themselves you aren't going to get much of a yield. You might get enough for a trip after your first flush. BUt this will prove that you are good enough with your cleaning skills to go further.
If I were you I would skip right to poo after this. This is what I did and I had amazing results. Look into a monotub instead of the FC. It is easy and requires little to no maintenance. No checking to see if humidity is good or filling up your humidifier. just put your shit in the tub and let it go.
I know my first grow that was similar to yours was pretty dissapointing. The shrooms were very low in potency and my yield was very low. Now with my monotub I get at least 2 oucnes a flush off of 5 lbs tubs.
Check out my gallery for pictures of my first grows and make a decision on what you want to do. BUt so far it looks great. No contams ony our first time is good.

Kunpow I almost forgot about the monotub option. Like I was saying in my previous post, Coir does make a nice substrate and could be used in a monotub too. This would probably be the easiest cheapest way to maximize your results Saintdunsmere. Next to going with horse poo I'm just not sure you wanna go there being a girl an all

As for the tropic air... thats what I use to keep the humidity up in my grow chamber... works great and all I use is a cheepy thermometer w/ hydrometer attached... working well so far... keeping the humidity up. I'll post pics of my grow eventually.
