Not to go off topic but...I think the concept applies not only to cyans but to all actives... correct me if I'm wrong, but no psilocybes are found out in the forest.  Pelliculosa's are, but that's after serious logging (done by humans).  Cubensis are found with cow manure (farmed by humans), etc etc.

And back on topic, don't worry if you're not finding much, the temps are just now right but it is dry as a bone.  Wait till a good solid few days of rain and they should be up

wtf??? so y is it that actives always appear in man made enbiornments but never in the forest??? that doesnt make sense because mushrooms obviously originated in the forest....when did actives make the transition from fruiting in the forest to fruiting in man made enviornments?????

Correct me if I'm wrong, but actives DO grow in the forest, just not in large patches like were looking for, and few and far between at that. In man made envoroments theres bark thats laid down, plants mowed over. Perfect "artificial" enviroment for our fungi friends to grow everywhere in big clusters.

Im in the PNW, Actually im on a big ol' island just south of the San Juans. Ive been pickin cyans from a pretty nice patch thats been fruiting for the past 2 weeks. Everytime i go i get 50-100 cyans, a pretty nice load. I was surprised they fruited so soon because your right there has hardly been any rain and i havent seen barely any otehr mushrooms of any kind.

Hmm i need to find some more spots though, do libs grow at sea level to 500ft above sea level, thats all i really have to work with, but an abundance of cow pastures is on my side

So far this year i really havent seen much as far as mushrooms go and especially no cyans although some of my friends claim to be finding fully matured ones at their patches in almost the same general area as mine.

Where at in the puget sound do u live? The reason theyre being found in seattle is because theyre closer to the water so its more moist and foggy.
