Urgent Question About the PF Tek

Okay, I'm just about to start to grow, and the PF Tek has been really helpful in explaining a lot of things, but there is one thing I need clarification on. When you are constructing the dual-chambered terrarium (with the 10 gallon aquarium), it says to get a piece of acrylic (plexiglass) window insulation. What the hell is that? Is that the plastic stuff you put over your windows in winter? Please let me know, the sooner the better. Thanks.

How does that work, then? If you spray the water on to the plastic, how does it get broken up into mist, and how does it get to the second chamber, where the shroomz are? Maybe I'm just thinking differently, but I don't see how the water can go through the plastic. Can anyone clarify for me?

Simply put, the shield fits very LOSELY. There is enough air circulation between the shield and the glass to allow the humidity to get to the other side.

A friend of mine had luck cutting a piece of cardboard and then wrapping it up water tight with plastic wrap- be sure it still has a lose fit after doing this, if you choose to.
