Yes but I plan to plant them out soon

" how far are they spaced apart? "
Very close at first(5cm), then trasplanted into small pots, 1 or 2 plants per pot as shown in the pic.

i just germinated my morning glorys..they're about 4 iches tall...
i have them in my window; the sun hits the window perfectly...
do you think if i kept them there, that they would eventually flower?
i plan on putting up a wooden grate in my window for them to climb on... is this a good idea or a bad one?

I read the preferred species for people looking to eat the seeds are Flying Saucers, Pearly Gates, and one or two others I forget. I just germinated some Pearly Gates Morning Glory's and they're like 5" right now. I transplanted them outside, and accidently broke some of the roots 'cause they grew through the mesh sacks holding the soil in my mini-greenhouse-sprouting-dealie. The roots are pretty brittle, but they are outside now and seem to not even have noticed, all are growing well despite the 60mph wind they had to put up with last night. Hardy little buggers.

Oh yeah I'm not growing them to eat the seeds though, I don't like the feeling they give.  I just like the plants

Club,

I have also recently transplanted some outside and it was windy here too with some heavy rain. I have not checked on them yet I hope they are OK, It sounds like they are tuff little things. They also seem to grow very fast indoors, seeds germinate in 2 days if sanded/nicked and soaked and they produce great looking flowers. They are great plants even if your not interested in their magical properties.

High,

I don't think a translation is coming up? But who nows this winter?!

I found that flying saucers were not liking to produce much seeds, but beautifull flowers!!

The others liked making seeds, and are now rising from the earth. The whole garden was spotted with those seeds after a few storms.

Harvested at least 300 grams but likely much more

Easy beautifull fast climber which has every morning fresh flowers.

Don't forget...

They are about 5 weeks old.

I have moved some outside but I am leaving these ones indoors. Some of the out door ones have died, not sure why though.

UK climate........... A week of no rain and hot, followed by a week of constant rain and high winds. They were panted under a large rose bush. semi-shade.

I was away for 2 weeks when I returned there were no leafs, just a wilted straw coloured stork.

In reply to:

"I wonder why they died... thats weird... I always thought they take off under almost any conditions. Can you tell me about what kind of conditions they were planted in?"

I have made a new discovery...
CATs like to eat the leafs of morning glory, killing the plants!!!
Any suggestions on preventing cats eating the leafs?

Shoot the cats?

Lol, don't call me cruel, I have cats, perhaps if you planted catnip they would eat that and stay away from everything else.
