White Pinheads.. Weird.

my duck looked at his casings tonight and realized that what he had been mistaking for chunks of oyster shell from a distance where actually baby mushies with white pinheads. quite odd. he has has previous flushes from this strain "pf classic" and the pinheads where always orange. could this possibly have anything to do with the "degenerated strain"? the spores were purchased around that time period, very close to the new year. anyhow, as always, any comments\advice will be appreciated. thanks.

yes it sounds like you got ahold of the bad PF strain.

If you let PF know that you have this problem....they will replace it.

does anyone know how my friend can reach this fellow electronically? i know he posts over at mycotopia from time to time and i see people opening posts to his attention over there but that seems a bit disrespectful to everyone else to make them weed through your bs. i guess it is snail mail otherwise.

suddenly it makes a whole lot of sense. following everything to a T. no contams, but weak yields compared to what he sees others posting. quite a bummer. he has a lot of cakes, casings even right now tied up with that strain. anyone wanting to help out a fellow in dire straights with a print PM me please.
