Some Psilocybe cyanescens?

* Habitat- In the woods near decaying wood, but no directly from. * Characteristics of the gills- Dont know how to put this so i hope picture does justice. * Characteristics of the stem- Short, very light brown, white inside. * Characteristics of the cap- Carmel Color, Wavey, and it has a small nipple that comes fromt he middle. * Spore print color- still in process * Color that the mushroom bruises- Not sure, these were abit dry when picked, so i saw no bruiseing yet. * Scent of the mushroom- Smells quite tastey, but cant put my finger on exact smell. * Anything else you might find important- Would these guys produce any effect if eaten?

If youre hunting in the PNW then youre goin out a little bit early.
its gonna be atleast another week or two before they really start poppin up
When you find the right ones youll be 100% positive you have.
if you havent already you should check out mushroomjohns shroom guide it helped me out a lot when i was first beginning.

Im on the East coast, NJ to be exact. sorry i was almost positive they were thyem because of the carmel wavy caps and the small nipple that comes out the middle, they were abit richer in color yesterday but they dried and rotted abit in the hot day.

since the gills are white, its a given that those arent cyans, not to mention the fact that they dont even grow in East US, they strictly grow in the PNW down to northern cali, and no where else in the US. im sorry to say, theres a 99.9% chance youll never find cyans on the east coast

Not even close bro.
It takes some time, you need one good picking book, and then you have to study it. Or download one , and study it.
Because if you were 90% sure those were Cyans, I could see you running into trouble , remember, Cyans have a nasty look alike.
Notice the colour, think of olives

If you think that those look like cyans, you have much learning to do. There are other things out there that can look even more like them. Patience is key.
My advice to you is do not consume any of your finds that you think might be cyans or some other active without consulting someone with experience to ID them for you.
Good luck.

Not going to work for ya. The ones you are looking for can be found by searching this website. Also, pics on the N. Fla guide will be the best pictorial reference.

Your wondering why he thinks they are not cyans? and u were 90% positive? Dude, you have to be more careful if you pick a shroom that looks like that and say your 90% positive they are cyans. Here:
Your shroom. Cap: Dark brownish Gills: White Stem: Brown
Cyanescens Cap: Caramel brown, wavy cap Gills: Cinnamin brown, becoming smokey brown after harvested Stem: White.
Hence not cyanescens, sorry.
If you didnt post this, and were 90% positive they were cyans and decided to eat them, it couldve been your worst and last mistake.
After you find mushrooms be sure to post an ID request with pictures of them on here before you consume or let anyone else consume them please.
" Anything else you might find important- Would these guys produce any effect if eaten? "
Yes, serious illness if not death, be careful.
Now go find the real cyanescens!
