Breaking out on the upper back

I know a lot of people get this..including myself! I take showers every day and wash my back with normal soap. Should I start applying lotions or facial soaps to the effected area? Whats the best way to clear it up?
Thanks!

Shower with a loofa. Get a really tough one that'll exfoliate. You shoulndn't need any special soaps or anything, but I've found a loofa keeps my skin in better condition than just a bar or washcloth.

Yep this stuff is a pain in the ass. Above all else, don't pick at your bumps! The more you fiddle with 'em, the more they are agitated and coated in the oils from your dirty hands.. and subsequently more likely to continue oozin' out those nasties. Beyond that, I would second the recommendation for some sort of hard washbrush that will exfoliate your skin. I use a very stiff bristled long-armed brush (so I can reach my entire back), in conjunction with an anti-bacterial soap. Then right before leaving the shower (after rinsin' the hair and all the rest of the soap off my bod), I'll lather up a bit of Deep-Clean Wash (Neutrogina makes one, store brands such as Rite-Aid also make 'em), and give a quick rub over the affected area. It's an orange soap that contains 2% salicylic acid, which you may have noticed in other topical acne treatments. I've been runnin' with this routine for a few months now and have noticed a marked decrease in any breakouts!

Clean and Clear - Deep Action Cream!!!!!!!!
It showed up in the shower one day and I used it for my face, had some left over and used it for my shoulders and back. Did this for a little while longer and mine basically went away. I'm sooooooo clear right now, it's awesome!
