I just recive a syringe spores of Copelandia Cyanescens and I wish to start them with Brow rice flower and Vermiculite . Did someone try it with results?
What is the best method for them?

You better do some more reading!

You don't grow them on BRF cakes.

This is a outdoor species too.....btw

They grow inoor well on a dung or/and straw based substrate.

I just saw another tek after the birthday ,casing the cakes on a layer of perlite and wet cardboard bands just above the cased cakes. What do u think about it?

As someone else said - they fruit off manure and straw - their temps are a little different too - they dont require as much heat to colonise and they fruit in around the same temps as cubensis but they dint seem to like the same level of humidity when fruited indoors. They are also prone to contamination because their mycelia is not robust and cannot fight contaminants. I lost my first two trays after two flushes. Nice mushroom - better than cubensis and they colonise very quickly - good luck!!

Thax8, you're confusing Panaeolus cyanescens with Psilocybe cyanescens, very common mistake.
Far too common. Anno, another addition to the FAQ?
I have grown panaeolus species on plain rice thinly cased, but it's really wasn't worth the effort as the fruits were TINY.
