Don't forget the Coil! They've done a Time Machines album, which is basically different tones of droning, and all 4 tracks are named after drugs. Amazing stuff, they've done works with Nurse With Wound and ELpH. Plenty of different works done by Coil, all of them trippy and eerie. Check out Frontline Assembly (more of a techo industrial band, but quite good) and Velvet Acid Christ (similar, songs usually have lots of samples from cult movies). There's one song by Chicane called Overture, which is an amazing piece of work. It ends with the soft lapping of the waves on a beach (shame it's only 4:30 long). Hmm, Aphex Twin is great stuff too
*sigh* but of course, there's plenty more out there waiting for us to discover.
www.brainwashed.com has a lot of these kind of artists, I guess I haven't made time to check them out yet.

an artist i recommend in the same field as BoC, is Four Tet. he's from the band Fridge, and its very relaxing, soft and beautiful, sort of like BoC, but a much happier vibe. "music for summer afternoon illicit activities" was the way someone described it and i wholeheartedly agree

If you liked "Music Has the Right to Children" then you might want to check out their newest album "Geogaddi".
Glad to hear you're enjoying the tunes.

Here's my two cents:
Brian Eno (obviously - esp. Music for Airports or No Pussyfooting w/Robert Fripp)
Coil - Time Machines (already mentioned but hey, it's fuckin good alright)
Robert Rich (anything by him, check his website too www.amoeba.com, he loves mushrooms)
Brian Lustmord (some dark ambient but really good, also check Stalker - Robert Rich and Brian Lustmord collaboration)
Alan Lamb (love those telephone lines)
Maeror Tri
Voice of Eye
Yen Pox
Biosphere
Err, I think that'll do for now.

Oh my god man! We have too much in common! I love Brian Eno - especially 'the big ship' on another green world - and also the piece by eno and David Bowie (he shares something with me:-)) called 'Subterraneans' - such a brilliant piece. I think seventies ambient music has some brilliant moments.
PJ did you check out Space is the Place and Sequential?? I have an album named 'chill out or die' - great stuff mostly by Sven vath

Just thought I should add a new album I've been listening to. For those of you out there who are afraid of dark space music chech out ARECIBO - Trans Plutonian Transmissions. Damn! I don't know what to say about this album. It's a Brian Lustmord side project in which he uses sounds given to him by NASA from their Deep Space Network. Real space music.

Well just so you guys know I no longer have any working trip cd's. they bite it.
On Saturday night/yesterday I was going down to a friends house for a night of tripping and drinking I eneded up leaveing his house before we got started due to an arguement.... No biggy ya know. So thinking I was gonna trip I brought some music with me
Aphex Twin: selected ambient works 2
Boards of Canada: Music has the right to children
Autechre: Incunabula
Sacred Spirit: volume 1
Sade: Lovers rock
on the way home i was almost killed repeatadly.
Some jokers in a car tryed to run me and my friend down. So they missed and drove away.We continued drinking and walking down the road( I had 2 40's in a plastic bag and my cd's and a few videos in another bag). So not thinking too much of being nearly run down We started talking shit to each other then the car came haulin' ass down the street with no lights on (it's after midnight so it's really dark out and we were in a poorly lit neighborhood) so we didn't see the car at first. All the sudden we had to jump out of the way ovoiding the hit and were now in someones lawn the car backed up and drove at us in the lawn repeatedly trying to hit us so my bag of cd's and movies were hit and got wasted all over the side walk an lawn however I still didn't get hit. So I broke out the cars passenger window and proceeded the attacknig. the car then reverses so fast it hits to parked cars shattering there windows and crunching there doors. Hell of a side swipe, So they speed off in a hurry. They didn't return again but my cd' got demolished. So I'm looking to get some cheaply to replace em. I just bougth most of em too very upsetting. So if anyone has any of these and would be willing to trade me for spores. i would be very greatful.
I have TC, GC, Acadian coast, Thai ks, Mexi, Cambo, Ecuador, Malaysian, PR, PES H,
And a few others i believe. post or pm me if intersted.
thanks...

I don't get it, there are so many music lovers here so why the fuck does the shroomery audiogalaxy board consist of only two shroomery members? Deviation13 (Who started the group) and myself! Come on people start sharing some info and some great tracks.

That sucks (your cds being wasted), I hate fuckers who just ruin your day. Well, the audiogalaxy suggestion sounds good. I have an account there, under the name NinnySheep, and I'll try and work out some cool tripping music to share! Gotta clear some room first, I have like 1 MB spare *eeK* If you find my username, just send me a message (if you can do that on ag).

It's good to see more people on Audiogalaxy from here already. But I'm having trouble sharing my songs. The ones I've downloaded are all ready to be shared, but whenever I copy some mp3s into the Sharde Folder, it never shows on my Audiogalaxy account. Damnit.
