I fucked up my back.

I would recommend hiking into the mountains to camp even if it's only for a day or two.  tetons and yellowstone are great, but if you want a tad more solitude check out the wind rivers.

Sorry to hear that man. I hope you get better.

Wow, that looks beautiful, I would love to get out there.

Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks are among the most beautiful places I've ever seen in my life. The creeks above Lake Jenny were great fishing.

We lived in Lander, WY for a while.  That's where we were living when oDin posted the pics.  The Wind Rivers are a different kind of mountains.  Like nikoD said you can really get away from it all.  The Hoback Basin south of Jackson, is pretty crazy isolated as well.  There are so many critters around there, but be VERY bear aware if you are hiking/backpacking anywhere in any of them.  God's Country we Wyomingites call it

Lander is the coolest town in Wyoming.

I'm sad to report that the Hoback Basin is beginning to be developed for natural gas :-(

We're fighting hard to keep this from happening, but with the Wyoming govmnt being as conservative as it is, it is unlikely we will be able to stop it.  This will severely affect the local deer, elk, pronghorn, etc, as well as poison the ground water through the unregulated practice of hydraulic fracturing.
