These cakes were grown on perlite for about 12 days, aired out 3 times a day with misting before closure of tank. They were placed on lids about a week ago. They were doing fine and then all seven developed this mold. Could too much humidity have been a factor? It seems like there are very tiny water droplets all over the moldy part. A similar thing happened to the last batch, going strong and then all of a sudden wholly contaminated. Could it all just be from the air?
I have been fighting that myself lately. Perfect cakes, fully colonized and whamo green shit starts a week or so after birth. I am thinking it may be an air exchange problem. I will try and keep you posted.
