Wow, that's a lot of memory!
I haven't been keeping up to date on current camera technology.. I think my momory card is only 64 or 128 MB.
The camera I use is only 3 mega pixel, but has a good optical zoom lense for macro/mushroom pics.

Nice finds John.
I also recently upgraded my camera from a Cannon Powershot A70 to a Powershot A530. On my old camera I could move back from the mushroom to prevent a close up flash from whiting it out, and then use the optical zoom to focus in on the mushroom. When I try this technique with my new camera, all the pictures turn out blurry. In order for the macro function to work, the zoom has to be all the way in, and the camera really close to the mushroom. It's cool though, because my new camera has a wider range of adjustment on the flash, so I can adjust it all the way down and still get good pictures. It just requires a different technique. Hopefully you will find the right settings to make your new camera work.
I have been fascinated with the bluing Mycenas from some years now. I think I read in Stamets book that you bio-assayed them and reported they were psilocybian. I would love to hear about that if you care to comment on the subject.

Really dying to find cyans in UK - 2 questions mjshroomer:
1. What are the temps round your area? I have read many times that cyans need cold weather to fruit...? I'm always confused by this as people seem to pick a lot in San Francisco, which I thought was quite a bit warmer than UK and we don't get real cold until middle/end of october..
2.How many weeks of heavy rain have you had?

In Pugotr SOund, cyans grow form mid September, depending on water sprinkler systems or as late as the 2nd week or so in October. Farther north like Bellingham in Skagit and Whatcom Counties they grow a shorter season due to colder westher.
Seattle they can s[pread usually unitl the first freeze of three days or more and are gone or sometimes no freeze and grow until the mid January,. although by then their is morning frost. The latest I found them In seattle was at a QFC store in the last week of Feb in 2001.
In San Francisco form mid to latere November into February.
In oregon liberty caps can grow until january but the azurescens on the cosatal areas of hammond and Astoria grow from Nove till the freeze.
mj
In England, already people are finding liberty caps so i am sure there are cyanescens in gardens. If your in Scotland check out the troyal botanic gardens. In England, public parks and new gardens around new homes or buildings.
mj
As for weather, I find them when there is no rain and only sprinklers systems.S oem people stop fertilizing their gardens after a few yeasr because of cost. others conserve water and stop using their sprinkler systems. Man made environments are your best place to find cyans, libertry caps in well manured lawns meadows and pasturelands of usually sheep and cattle. Not so in horses. P. fimetaria also is common in england and looks like blue ringers.
