Psilocybe caerulescens. I wish there were 'honeys' like that. Snoot, notice the blue bruising, the gill color, the banded cap etc. Beautiful finds Airdog, thanks for showing us.

Wow, what a find AIRDOG! Congrats! Look at the size of that stipe in the first pic Does anyone think they look similar to Psilocybe aucklandii?
Hey AIRDOG, did you find those Ps caerulescens on the steep side of a creek with trees around or in the open? inski.

I dont think they look similar, ur auklandii have a much longer stem and diferent color, while derrumbes have a short fat stem

Wow, those remind me so much of weilii, but the cap seems a little thinner (more fragile), but not necessarily.

Yes Shroomie of Doomie, Airdog is in Colima, Mexico where he collected those specimens of P. caerulescens. Yes they macroscopically resemble P. weilii and a few other Psilocybes and that is because they share many of the same physical cgharacteristics of the genera Psilocybe, as do some Agrocybes, Galerinas and Naeomatolomas and Hypholomas.

Rainy season is most probably finished by now in Mexico for the annual shrooms June through August into September and then the majority of shrooms are gone for the year. This includes mexicana and most of the other almost 54 species found in Mexico and Central America.
The majority of which occur in the Mexican State of Oaxaca.
Now only a few cubes and/or somCopes will appear throughout the rest of the year but in smaller quantities than during the normal annual rainfall.

Rainy season isnt over yet as thera are many hurricanes yet to come and that means lots of rains, sometimes it rains until november, I hope to find more shroomies... but anyhow now the grass is to tall to search for mexicanas and cubensis, but for caerulescens is fine because no vegetation grow in the creek, somebody told me they even grew all year round

Nice Juicy finds Airdog, soon as I saw your pics I thought they looked like some subaeruginosa I found in N.Z. in July. Then inski posted re aucklandii pretty much exactly what I was thinking... snap! Anyways sorry to hijack your post but check these out in any case:
