The place I work at got burglarized on sunday.

I work at a Business that is run out of a house here in town. Its a computer shop that we do repairs and new system builds for customers. I am just a contract worker for my boss, and I get payed to manage the business while he is at work. He comes in later in the afternoon at about 5pm.

Any-way I got into the office this morning at about 9:30 and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary until I went upfront to do some paperwork on this company computer.

The company computer was not there.... So I shrugged my shoulders and thought eh, my boss must have taken it to do some repairs on it or even take it home.

Then to my amazement and utter shock all of our motherboards, DDR ram and like 8 fairly large Hard drives were missing also! I e-mailed my boss, he called the police and we spent the morning looking at all the stuff in the house to see if anything else was taken.

I filled out the report to the police and soon here we shall see what the end result will be...

I don't want to think about the complexities of who it was or how it happened, so I'm here at my house right now on my lunch break smoking a joint just waiting to hear back from my boss.

I wont be able to respond to this post until later today when I get home, which is about 4 hours.

But tell me what you think about this whole mess, I would like to talk about it.

1. Shit happens.

2. Don't expect to get any of it back. You may, but chances are good you won't.

3. Talk to neighbors and see if they saw/heard anything. Any business nearby that may have cameras?

I'd look closely at your last few clients, depending on how many people you serve a day. Go back at least 2 weeks, and look for any potential suspects... Maybe someone saw your locks/alarm system when they were in there and decided to come back!
