Soy Flour?

This is my first time to cutivate mushrooms and i read somewhere that you can use soy flour insted of brown rice flour. i inoculated the jars over a week ago and there is still no sign of growth. i read on a past thread that soya flour will not work. is this the samething? sould i keep them or go ahead and though them out and use brown rice flour?

i don't see why soy flour would not work. it has the same nutrients that brown rice does. but who knows?
