that's part of why I stopped for the majority of the summer. It started off as philosophical thoughts for about the first year or so that I smoked, then it turned to strange thoughts, then to anxiety.

Too much thinking, or over-thinking, is bad

Be cautious about believing your non-reality introspection. It is not real. This is how communication walls get built.

do not only think, but also share and release the ideas.

let them in and then back out, or else it'll get a little crowded in your head.

I'm not sure about "thinking outside the box", but I personally feel as though I am typically able to think with a certain fluidity and sense of knowing that feels more enhanced and dimensional than normally.

I suspect that marijuana brings more awareness of our state of mind and its subsequent thoughts to our conscious experience. Its effects, it would seem, will reflect the nature of yourself and how you react to the expansion of awareness.

Just go with the flow and relax, and your thoughts should lead you deep into some true understanding. As was already mentioned, sitting down and contemplating how to express these thoughts with others who share similar interests will most assuredly be beneficial. Participation in this forum would be an ideal opportunity for such.

Also stimulants are good in philosophy as well, I've had some real profound experiences under stimulants, and maybe which can be attributed was due to my constant global learning at fundamental level. Meaning I was trying to correlate concepts together and figure things out. I knew such a venture was pointless other than entertainment, but it was something I rather preferred over say drawing pictures or reading books.

So what did I figure out, that sometimes figuring things out, was not always good under [false pretenses]

I was pushing the envelope more than I realize, but what I realized is how radical the world really is, that these radical thoughts aren't always off base, that maybe somebody went down the same road, stupidity is always attributed to such phenomenon and so overlooked, and in a sense its true, but what would you have if the adventure was totally risk free, a boring adventure.

But defintly the ganj is a good medium for philosphy, as its maynot be good for such hobbies as chess and poker, I do use it for such, stupid me

I heve conditioned myself to think "outside the box" at any time.

ahh, what?

What is 'non-reality introspection'?
Perception is reality, your perception of your interactions with others can be totally different than  my perception of YOUR interactions with others, but that does not change yours or my realities.

So what is:  (the definition of introspection) Observation or examination of one's own mental and emotional state with 'non-reality'

If your delusional your delusional, crazy is flat out crazy, but it sounds like your saying if you think to much (use your brain) you will wall yourself in, Ted Kinzinski hermit style.

I learn things everyday, just by observing, contimplating, adapting things i see to fit my needs.

It rained one day, and my box got wet. I tried sitting in it again, but it tore. Now I'm a fifth-degree homeless. It was only held together with tape, anyway.

i feel like mj helps you embrace boredom, and all the abstract thoughts that would usually float around untouched, now get some attention.

Why are you bored? You should strive to make every waking moment one of total absorption.

This is exactly why I do drugs in the first place.

I know it isn't hard to think outside the box or about new concepts even off of drugs, but I believe that a distorted perception can help to bring oneself to entirely new ideas.

I would think that a direct, accurate perception would be even more conducive to entirely new ideas than a distorted perception.

That is no hard and fast rule. Often intoxication can loosen the inhibitions enough to really release creativity.

Certainly, I was just alluding that psychadelics typically heighten one's awareness of their senses, direct perception - not distort their perceptions. Some drugs probably heighten some aspects of one's experience and distort others, as well.

MJ does obviously help people, more and more, as we go on lliving in a society thats thrusts upon us throw away entertainment and commercialism. MJ shows us how we used to live straight, and now our "straight" is terribly gargled with prescription medications and carcinogens seriously affecting our mental and physical being. It's one of the only ways to see outside the box...

Marijuana helps me to shut off my mind and sense ideas, rather than work them out in my sober mind which in one way or another tends to be the cause of the most bullshit in my life. I like revelations rather than realisations.

But I don't think it's the weed that's most important, it can put me in a state of mind that is both helpful and hindering at the same time. To be in that state of mind without drugs is most helpful, but it's more difficult for me to be still enough to sense. Though when I have been still enough, the clarity is beautiful and most fulfilling.
