Swampy wet field???
    #6089382 - 09/22/06 04:52 AM (17 years, 5 months ago)

My gosh. this is the second time this has happened. I went to my usual field looking for tons of cubes and only ended up wet shoes. the field was so wet it was swamp like and no cubes! it was like 24-30 hours after rainfall. when the field is that wet does that mean it isn't suitable for mushroom growth or was I just unlucky that day? If so should I be waiting for the field to dry up? I still haven't pinpointed the perfect time to find cubes yet  :mad2:

If the field stays that wet for too long it can kill the myecellium, which means no shrooms until it grows back again. I'm not 100% on the timetables, but just try and find areas of the field that are on higher ground - if there are any.

Sometimes too much rain is not a good thing. A few seasons ago, a hurricane like storm hit and pretty much drowned out everything. It was so wet and soggy everywhere that there were no mushrooms in all of my good spots!
