Seattle 2006
    #6090671 - 09/22/06 03:20 PM (17 years, 6 months ago)

I went to some old patches, collected maybe a dry half ounce, from different spots.
I'm gonna spend the next few days scouting new locations.
I'm hoping for a monster bayo patch.

Found some pan. subalt. too, but i just leave them.

I'll post pics when i find something worth photographing.

Is there any specific way you pick out an area to search?

Do you stick to wooded areas or fields?

Is it worth hunting on the "Eastside"? As in Redmond, Woodinville, Duvall, or do they pretty much stick farther west?

Ive gotten Cyan. from Redmond up on English Hill in some woods. Be careful because the whole eastside are rich tight assed bastards.

Duvall is great for cubes, Duvall is practically one giant cow field for a town!!

I guesed they would be around here but wanted to make sure before I wasted my time.
Yeah, I realize there are a bunch of tight assed rich folks around here, having lived amoung them for nearly a year.
I'm going to guess they are probably kicking it more around here than in the city due to the slightly lower temps and the extra rainfall that we seem to get.

I checked Seward park today with no luck. All the mulch is too new I think. I think I'll head into Redmond later.

If you are finding wild cubes in Washington, you should really let MJ know so that he doesn't have to travel the world any longer  My guess is you aren't though.

Which ones am I likely to find in the Everett area? All I know how to hunt for are Psilocybe cyanescens.

Got a car this year, now I can cover some ground.

guys, the climate does not vary that much between areas of western WA.  Just get out there and do it. I love the fall but this forum gets outta control.  Everyone posts and says "are they out yet?  Can I find them here?"  Just get out there!

But no pics yet from anyone?  Not sure if I believe all these posts, no offense.  It's also supposed to be in the 70s this weekend.  A tad too warm, in my humble experience.

And I don't think the naming of actual locations is allowed (referring to a few posts above)...

Yeah, that's what I'm leaning towards myself. I went out yesterday I felt a bit foolish looking at wet and barren woodchip patches. I'm shooting for around the 31st-5th to really seriously go out hunting again.

I'd like to finally take up hunting for edibles.

Its too early still. Mid October is usually when they start poppin. The cool temperatures and the rain need to synchronize for the patches to start booming.

I went for a bike ride today to browse a couple of spots, and I would have to agree, its still a tad bit too warm. Saw lots of little fungi around town, but no actives yet. Good luck to you all.
