Ok I ve just ordered some Panaeolus cyanescens from mush mush and I want to know do I have to grow it in dried cow dung via the mush mush method or is there any other methods cos i dont realy want to stink the house out with pc it or follow a cow around with a plastic baggy all day.
Also am I the only one here from the UK

You can use straw, it was also reported that birdseed worked as a substrate.

So would this method be right :

Place my birdseed in to 6 jasr add dextrose water and steralise for an hour and a half leave to cool down then inoculate with Panaeolus cyanescens spores using the oven tek and when mycelium has fully colanised it case with sterile straw and compost caseing and when casing is partly colanised then cold shock.

I would let the birdseed colonize(omit the dextrose), use this to spawn pasteurized straw-compost mix and case it with a thin(1/4 inch) 50/50+ layer.

Cool I will try that as soon as my spores come in the post cant wait. But the first step I will have to be produce some liquided mycelium as i have been having great results with the stuff on my P. Ec colanised cakes within 10 days.

ralph has a tek using birdseed here under grow find-but he also mixes his spawn after they are done colonizing with zoodoo dung-i didnt think dung stunk if it was wet shit-lol

Dung only smells when it's cooking and then bit while is still hot. Opening the windows helps to disipate the odor. Anyway, the smell is not like human shit, carnivores shit stink much more than hervibores.
