Which malt to purchase at Brewguys

would someone please be so kind as to say what kind of malt should be purchased from the http://www.brewguys.com website if one was wanting to use it for the purposes of growing liquid mycellium? the brand "Laaglander Dry Malt" that is suggested in the links sectiion seems to be m.i.a.. thanks in advance.

friends of mine use extra light dry malt extract, i dont think it matters between light and extra light....but someone else may know better than I

The lighter the malt, the better. The darkness of a malt is an indication of how much it has been roasted. The longer time and higher temperatures used in roasting the malt, the more sugars are carmelized (resulting in darker malt).
