Old Mycelium?

I have a quart jar of PES Hawaiian that was the only survivor of a massive bacteria contamination. I forgot about it and discovered it today.. heavily colonized but still looks quite healthy. I gave it a good shaking and broke it up and was wondering if I could use this mycelium as spawn to transfer into more jars of rye? I estimate its about two or three weeks old from when it was fully colonized.
