 $350 For A Phone

Don't have a cell, hate phones altogether. Just hearing a phone rings boils my blood. However, I think it is time I got one. The "Chocolate" phone has peaked my interest. Why the fuck is this thing $350 though?

I have never owned a cell phone either, due to some of the same reasons that you mentioned.
Been at phone store with friends while they were shopping for one and noticed prices even higher than 350 for some of them.
I guess a lot of the newer phones are almost like computers these days.. mp3 players, cameras, and all kinds of things in them.
I probably wouldn't have a use for any of those features, as I can pretty much do it all on my desktop already. I also have a portable mp3 player.
Seems like they are almost more like toys or entertainment for some people rather than a communication tool. I always see people playing games or looking at the little screen for whatever reason when they are bored.
I guess the day will probably come when I will end up getting a phone too.

My cellphone was free, the plan is like 15 a month, and it's always on vibrate. Cellphones aren't always obnoxious, it all depends on the user.

Those things aren't phones. They're pocket multimedia doodads. If you want a cell phone get a $50 one that sends calls and receives calls and none of that taking pictures or playing your favorite MP3 bullshit.

Yeah, you don't need the Chocolate phone to phone. Find a cheap $50 phone.

i couldnt bring myself to shell out more than $50 for a phone....
ended up getting a pretty nice one for free (a samsung something or other)
had to sign a contract for a year,, but oh well....pretty cheap plan at $30 a month....free nights/weekends, call waiting, caller id.....

good reception, rarely drops calls.....

You can get the Chocolate phone for "free" over here, if you sign a contract for 2years $20/month with 3 "free" hours per month.
