Wel Capt. max, I already answered this one before. Pineapples are not form Hawaii. They came from Brazil and Paraguay in South America. The Spanish used them for Scurvey.

And it was canned Pineapples which came from Dole in Hawaii. In 1886, the railroad between the north adn thesouth form St martins Florida became the pineapple capital int he same year Dole sold his firt factory shipment of pibneapples to America.
