Wimpy shrooms result from..

I placed a small aluminium tray (cased 1/2 pint Maz cake with two layers verm) in a misted trashbag (the bag is translucent) .
I tied a knot in the bag and placed it in the warm closet.

Thus far I have pulled of some small-ass mushrooms.
I think that their wimpiness (about 6 inches tall and skinnier than a pencil) stems from lack of thick substrate layer.

Anyone have any other ideas?
