Do you eat the mutant blobs?

I was just wondering if anyone eats the blobs that sometimes form on cakes. I've had a few in the past but this guy is huge. I pushed on him a little and he brused right away. I want to eat him he is (i'm guessing) 5 to 7 grams wet. You see he's still on the cake.

He looks neat & tasty.

BTW: Its just a white blob. Like a deformed shroom with no cap & no stem. haha
