drinking a tea cake

I'm growing P. cubensis on brown rice flower and Vermiculite. Recently I over reacted to what I thougt was contamination and threw a cake out, (went in the compost). See little arms reaching out into the great yonder post in the contam forum.

Any way several people responded suggesting the cake was fine. So I fished it out of the compost. I figured it was too late to put it back in the terarium so I stuck it in the freezer with the thought of ingesting the cake.

I'm considering making tea out of the cake. My question is:

Is vermiculite (gardening variety) going to be bad for my health. Will it leach substance into the water. Also if it's ok to make tea out of a cake, how much of it to take?

MAAAN whyd you pull it out of the compost heap? you would have had great shroomies if you waited

Search the forums for the cranberry-extraction technique. Vermiculite is not poisonous, but I've heard can be really difficult to pass through your system... if you get my meaning.
