here and now

i think it's amazing how there are so many people in this world, and each person's life is an epic. everyone has their own story, each having their own struggles and moments of indescribable beauty and emotion. yet everyone dies and their story is forgotten with time. people try to make a name for themselves, hoping to make a lasting impression on society, but it's all in vain. who was shakespeare's shakespeare? where was atlantis' atlantis? and in time, our shakespeare and atlantis will be forgotten.

here we are, existing together in this generation on this planet earth. i don't know who any of you are, but i do know this. if i got to know you, i mean really know you, i would like you. each one of you.

"One thing is certain, that Life flies;
one thing is certain, and the Rest is Lies;
the Flower that once has blown forever dies"

Here's to this moment in time... which will be forgotten, but will never truly be lost.

Tales and dreams are the shadow-truths that will endure when mere facts are dust and ashes, and forgot. - Niel Gaiman

I know, I think that once you completely understand another person, you cannot help but like them because you see them as the same as you. Most all hatred comes from misunderstanding, or the lack of effort to understand.

I see no reason not to like everybody. We are all people, in the end we all want the same thing out of life, and we are all on our respective paths together.

Its a really sad thought to think that our lives are all in vain, but that value judgement only exists in your mind. If you live every moment as if its the most important time and place in the universe, then I'm sure you'll live a fulfilling life. Its the people who dwell on the futility of it all that are miserable.

Enjoy life for what it is, don't regret what it is not.
