I have a pressure cooker thats only holds 10psi. Will this work for sterilization? I always read that you need 15psi or does it not really matter.

You better extend the 30 minutes to 45 minutes for cakes, and to over 1 hour if you prepare rye or birdseed.

not really the same topic, but i didn't feel like starting a new post. should the water in the pc be above the bottom of the jars? lately i've been getting green contams in everything, even straight brf cakes, and never got any when i used to boil before the days of the pc. the pc has a tray that holds everything a quarter inch off the bottom, and i started with the pc filling with water a good inch above the tray, but reduced it after reading that only a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of water should be used. i think my results were better the first way, but that was mank months and tokes ago, so before i waste another batch i just wanted to know if the water level could be the problem.
