Aborts and potency

Hey guys, so a few nice mushrooms have been harvested but many little dudes are becoming black and have stopped growing. I knew these were aborts so they were picked off (when they were tiny) and put aside. Now, I have two questions.

The first being, I read somewhere that aborts are "just as good" as mushrooms that are grown (I don't know whether fully developed or at the point where the veil tears). So, I collected about fifteen or more, is this supposed to mean that taking them (even though they are so tiny) will give the same trip?
(ex. instead of 4 fresh one's, 4 aborts). Because they are so much tinier it doesn't make sense to me that they are "just as good" (I still don't know what that's supposed to mean, freshness or potency) as normal grown (and much bigger) mushrooms.

If so (which I am guessing is probably not the case), why wouldn't people harvest those because so many more can be produced from the cakes nutrients...

If anyone knows the answers to these questions please do...

when it's said they're just as good, they're meaning the potency. You would still need a couple of DRIED grams to get an effect.
Aborts are small so you'd need HEAPS of em to get a few dried grams, where as mature ones have more flesh, so not as many needed to obtain a few grams. All that is ment is that aborts have the same % of "magic" as shrooms. You still need to take the same WEIGHT tho. :-)
Dry and keep the aborts, but you'll still need a few grams of dried material to trip.

sorry I have to disagree with you! my personal experience is that the % of "magic" in the little guys is higher than the % in full growns.. but still, let your guys grow up because you'll get a higher overall magic yield from a mature flush. separate the little guys from the big guys and you'll see what i mean.
