liquid culture yellowing

I have several LC's going very well right now. They are all made using Karo Light.

One of them isn't quite clear, though. At first I was sure it just caramelized a bit. Anyhow, I knocked it up with some B+ spores.

The mycelium in it is beautiful but the water just keeps getting more and more yellow. It's currently piss yellow. Is this some sort of contamination, or is that stuff good to go for knocking up cakes?

Hmmm, I've only had the liquid in LCs go from yellow to more clear as the myc used the nutrients... My guess is it's myc piss, but I can't be sure of that. It doesn't sound like any contamination I've ever heard of.

The exact same situation happened to me. You should be fine. But if you wanna play it safe just knock up a few jars to see what happens.

Cool, cool. I'll do just that: knock up 2-3 jars and see what happens.

Thanks.
