 bad trip?...looking for comfort...

a few years ago, i decided to drop shrooms. Im not sure what strain, but i know i dosed approx. 1.75 grams dry.this was my third time dosing. I remember it very clearly, me and a friend where sitting in my basement, it was all dark adn we where watching tv. I started to feel the mushrooms take effect... but it wasn't the same as other times i had done them. My whole body went numb, especialy my face, and i felt so heavy all over, like it was hard to keep my head up. I just sat there, didn't move for about 3 hr. just breathing, not even watching tv, just staring, no visual effects, or changes in my mentality. Then my friend asked me to grab him a drink, i went up stairs and when i opened the door, all the this warm air hit my body and i nearly passed out, it was fucked. Basicaly the whole time i felt super over heated adn heavy, breathing realy hard, and sweating.... have you ever had this kinda trip? it wasn't ejoyable at all, actualy it was one of my worst drug experinces.... now mycology is my hobbie, and i could dose at any given time... should i be afraid to dose again? could they have been laced with somthing? im kinda worried about dosing again.... any advice? please help...

Drink gallons and gallons of water while tripping. There's nothin' better than pissing a fat piss while shrooming. It's enough to send shivers up and down my spine.

That numbing feeling is the shrooms taking effect, it should take place within the first 30 minutes within consumption..
The body feeling eventually passes and you move on into a deeper state.

My wod is not to dose until you feel secure about doing it, sure enough if you take them with second thoughts you will most likely end up where you did the first time.

Take a nice low dose next time. You are going to be jumpy from your previous bad expreience, so don't go pushing it. Once you have a good pleasurable low dose trip or two you wont worry so much and things will start to get easier.

Im a weekend alcoholic and everytime Ive tripped Ive had plentiful beer around...it comforts me and smooths the ride out...

Try and have soothing music around. Some of my trips, I spend 3/4 of it listening to music. You just sit there and roll with wherever the album takes you. Perhaps have some fluids on stand by next time, it helps if you feel really hot and try lying down in the outdoors and let the cool air blow over you.
And yeah, take it easy next time, be cautious!
