sealing a fruiting chamber doesn't sound like the best option to me.
how are you humidifying it right now?

if your using the perlite method, add more water maybe and drill holes about 1 inch above the perlite layer in each corner...
this lets the air exchange better..

those are for growing cakes.
and you have to open to fan anyway.
with damp perlite in a container, you have 100% humidity. if not, then it's 99%.
most hygrometers don't go much above 90%. so your hygrometer is probably no good.
give it a salt test.

Stick a bubble wand in there and run an air pump. This will pump fresh air in there as well. ~$10 at walmart.

If you want to do that do a search for PMP, you will get a better pictorial that way

no need to seal at all.
like I said, you have to open it to fan, or you need cracks or a vent even if you run a pmp setup.
your humidity is plenty high, if your perlite is rinsed and damp.
your hygrometer is the problem it seems.

actually i dont have a hygro meter yet which sucks I know I'm have trouble finding one, I can't find any cigar shops around here that carry them. Im basing the humidity on how it feels inside the box. and the fact there is no condensation forming inside the box.
oh and I am doing the damp perlite method. (rinsed and drained excess water off of perlite and spread evenly about an 1 and a half inch deep in tub).

You can count on upper 90's in humidity then.
In fact, when my greenhouse isn't full of substrates, I fill up the empty shelves with trays of damp perlite to hold the humidity up. It works great. RR

Don't seal it. You want air exchange. You can simply leave the lid a bit crooked all the time, but you should still fan it out a few times a day. RR

ok well then ill do that so you think what i described but without sealing will create a high enough humidity for cakes??
I know I shouldnt question the experts but it just doesn't make since to not seal it.
and with out a hygrometer how will I know if its humid? I plan on getting one, as soon as I find it

maybe instead of perlite use Hydroton/Lava Rocks just like the PMP says. 4 inches of hydroton and 2 inches of water.
They have digital hygrometer + Temp Gauges at petco and petsmart that I've seen
Digitals run from $10-$20 and Non digitals are $5-$10
