would you still want to live in it?
Really give that question some thought. Imagine everyone you encounter through the day, acting, reacting and responding to you the way you do to others. Would you love it, do you wish for it or does the thought mortify you in any area and why? What would you change about yourself (if anything) immediately, if that were the case? What would you like about it and what do you find yourself appreciating about others through this exercise that is different from you?
The thought popped into my head before I fell asleep last night and it served as a new way to objectively self reflect.

Everyone basically is you. Your core "being", anyways. People just act differently and interpret things differently due to their upbringing and genes.
But yeah, that'd be kinda freaky to have a bunch of people EXACTLY the same as me. Depending on who everyone was like, I think the world would actually be a better place, don't you?

Sure, spiritually speaking we are One in spirit, however, we have also been experiencing ourselves through individual beings who have developed our own unique make ups. THAT is what I am talking about having to be faced with everywhere you go.
Like Bas, you were ripping on people who follow Icke's stuff in an OTD thread. Obviously, you don't think they are just like you or you wouldn't object to their way of thinking and believing because it isn't like yours. Do they respond/react to his books like you have? No.
If everyone were just like you, David Icke wouldn't have even written his books. He would've dismissed everything they are based on that he came across. The world would be different.
Gwert, That's a good place to be if you think the world would be better for you to live in if everyone were like you.
It is a freaky thought when you think about everyone having your own level of intelligence, emotional maturity, physical abilities, level of understanding and awareness, same lines of logic and reasoning as well as personality characteristics.
This is more of an exercise in facing the self. It would be neat if everyone had the opportunity to have to face themselves just as they actually are, in everyone else they met for one week.
Running myself through the exercise, I was hoping I wouldn't have to be met with myself in another being impatient like I can be, when I am taking my time with something.  Other then that, I thought it would be fun for a while. It would be neat to see the yin yang in me be pulled out more. Depending on who I am with, so many different facets and approaches can come out of me. Like if someone is being wreckless, I swing into safe and cautious mode. If somone is being safe and cautious, I tend to get a little wreckless to break up the stagnation.
The patience thing got me to thinking about how everyone is on their own timing wavelengths with things and what a source of conflict and friction that can be. That's another topic and trippy to see people being on different time waves and how we all make it work somehow anyway.
Think about the people you CHOOSE to spend the most time with. I bet they all have a similar disposition for what sort of time they take with things.
That gets me to thinking that we probably do tend to choose to be with people that are most like us in most ways. Whoever doesn't, probably lives with a lot of frustration and conflict. That gets me to thinking about how differences can sometimes be blessings in disguise. They force us to recalibrate when we are off to any extreme end if we don't want to feel frustrated or be in conflict with them.
Anyway, I hope a few put some time into this exercise and were able to see some new things in new lights for themselves.

Thats another angle I spent some time on. I think we would experience difference anyway and thats a weird thought. They would be based on our own inconsistencies and extremes being played against ourselves just through timing alone.
Say you are typically cautious but take the occasional risk or are typically patient and understanding but occasionally become short fused and quick to judge. When what is normal for the self meets up with the what isn't normal, as it would be bound to in such a scenario, it would be funny to witness as an outside observer.
It would be a riot to be able to go into such an experience, knowing everyone else was going to have the same mental and emotional dispositions and make up as you have for just one week. Mostly, I think I would like it. I'm more curious to know where it would be that I wouldn't if I didn't at some point.
BTW, I am soooooooooo happy to see you typing  I've been doing so much pulling for you and checking in on your progress.

No. Certainly, I feel that I possess certain strengths that I wish were more common in others, but I also have weaknesses that would lead to disaster if everyone shared them. There are some jobs that I simply could not do, but someone has to do them. I think it's better that there are others who are strong where I am weak, and vice-versa.

I would hate it if everyone was like me. there are not many people I don't like but the reasons I don't like certain people are generally the same. they exhibit the traits of myself that I don't like. I don't like self centered and/or selfish people or people who play the victim because I see those flaws really pronounced in myself.

Much of the human population would likely die, but that'd be ok. I'd still enjoy it. Are we talking like I wake up tomorrow and everyone is me, basically? Because society wouldn't have made it this far...

so why is it that when we have children and spouses and we try to model them after ourselves and when that doesn't work we have chaos.
we are all as beethoven said in his 9th sympohony brothers (sexist)

but the simple example is from the person that learns from experience versus the one that doesn't. its probably temperment.
