ok, heres a great song i love. This is from a group called Lifesavas, 2 MCs and a DJ that i saw open for Blackalicious. Its the most experimental of their songs. Great hip-hop.
They only have one album, but they're coming out with their 2nd album soon. They we're great live. Amazing lyricists. I'd definatly like to see them again, and will when they come back.

This is Blackalicious. Probobly my favorite rap group out there. Comprised of Lyricist Gift of Gab and DJ Cheif Excel. Amazing music. The lyrics are just so good, and the MC is one of the best in terms of skills. This is a great song. I mean... just listen to those fucking lyrics. And they were the fucking shit live. I cant wait to see them again.

Ok heres my last one for now. This is Saul Williams. He was an establised Poet and Spoken Word artists before many guest appearances on albums which lead to his own recording career and very unique style. Check him out. This whole album is just fucking amazing. And yeah, thats Zach De La Rocha on the chorus of this song.

Sage Francis - Makeshift Patriot
He has some good stuff. You can find stuff under the name Sage Francis or Non-Prophets. It is hard to find good hip hop but its out there.

i must note though, RJD2 doesnt say almost anything in his songs. he mainly has lyricists come in to do vocals, he does the tracks and his beats are dope, heres a track i love while mushin'! (no lyrics) it starts out like every other R&B song, but just wait his beats get better.

Del the Funkee Homosapien!
Fantastic lyricist. You'll recognize his voice as the rapper on the first Gorillaz album. This song is from his album "Deltron 3030" which was a collaboration with Dan the Automator and Kid Koala. Its a concept album based on a post apocalyptic futuristic hip-hop rap battle escapade in the year 3030. He rocks.
P.S. If you liked that Saul Williams song, I stress that you go get his album "Saul Williams" Its chock full of stuff like that.

Gym Class Heroes. Ok... this is a rap BAND. Its a band that plays hip-hip rock, and a rapper, Travis "Schleprok" McCoy. I came from Dallas to Austin to see them in a club earlier this year and it was worth it. Some might recognize the chorus of this song pulled from Supertramp's Breakfast in America... Bada-dada!

The Blastmaster KRS-ONE. Knowledge Reigns Supreme Over Nearly Everybody This guy is my favorite old school rapper. He has an amazing story from being a homeless kid in New York from 12 years old, to being a drug courier, to being arrested at 19, to being sent to a childcare housing project where he met Scott La Rock, to being one of the most influencial rapper from the 80s to the present... A true living legend.
