I have been searching so much for some pan subbs the past few months. Sporeworks has mentioned on their site, that they actually got their first specimen from the area my friend lives in. There is a lot of forest, meadows and anything inbetween, and there has been no luck on finding any. Were do they liek to grow? Ive read in rotting straw piles and in stables, but there isint any around. Do they grow off cow patties, or can they just grow in the grass, or even a dead branch in the forest? (Conifer or a soft-wood or hardwood?) I know of some cow pastures, however I don't know about the cows, I dont wanna get attacked by one of those big moo-moos. Also, Id like to know if anyone could show how to pronounce Panaeolus subbalteatus . Thanks !!

I heard pan subss suck big in potency... however... i once ate 2 big pan subb like mushrooms and tripped hard... i ate some p. mexicanas too but not more than 10. the only problem is that these pans. stained blue heavily on the stems and cap, the stem was very dark brown and the blue was still noticeable... perhaps a new species or i dunno. I hope to find more of these the next season(its coming near) last season i only found those 2 that i ate
