alittle cake question

Um . .well my cakes are fully colonized but the bottoms are a brownish yellow . .could they have been burned by the incubator? . what could b wrong . .there is no mold unless that is mold!

also can this area be rehydrated "(if burned) or removed or just left there? . . its not like moldy really and it doesnt have a sweert smell but it like the whole bottom to about 1 1/2 centimeters up the cake . .i think i burned it or something . .what should i do!?

I dont think its burnt...it sounds like water damage

how do i fix it???

and also if i take a cake to put it in my terranium and i break it in to and the two pieces that i broken i laid those sides down onto the perlite . .it will still grow right?

it broke in half while taking it out of the jar!

but neways how do i fix it?

you can leave the water damaged cake alone.... It will be fine.

don't put the cakes on the perilite.....put them on something....jar lid....foil....etc.

the 2 halfs will both grow mushrooms.... just put them in the fruiting chamber.

ohh . . .shizzle .. ima have to fix that real quick . .i have them laying on the perlite right now. . . . how long will it take before i see ne growth and does it have to be hot in the my "fruiting chamber" cuz all mine is, is a bucket filled with perlite (moistened and sterilized) and a piece of plastic wrap over it . .my light source is the lamp in my room and during the day the light through the window . . . i open the plastic wrap and spray 2 times a day. Is that good?

i keep my temp around 70-75 the hum has to be 95 or up to get them to fruit

how do i make the humidty high in the fruiting chamber?? does it have to be hot in the container?

are you sure 95 + i got mine to fruit in 92-93
i think itll fruit in anything 90+ definitly under 95 and above 90 i think it will just take a little bit longer then 95+ but it will still work

either that or my therm is fucked

do u make it hot or just mist alot? . .cuz i dont know if mayb i should put it over a heatin pad or leave it alone
