the question that has been asked many, many times already you should use the search for more info about it. Imho caps are more potent btw: both from experience and because caps have a much harsher taste than the bottom end of a stem. It also seems more logical to me that the oldest part of the mushroom (the cap) contains most hallucinogenic chemicals while the stem is just for support and supply of nutritients. But many ppl will disagree with me and the difference isn't big anyway so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

They are the same by weight. Meaning: 1g (cap) == 1g (stem) Now if you have a 5g cap and a 2g stem of course the cap is going to have more magic in it. But if you have a 2g cap and a 2g stem you'll have the same amount of good stuff. (All numbers were pulled directly from my ass.)

It varies, but the difference overall is quite minute. Both stems/caps are the same, please don't believe any of the urban myths that people spout about mushrooms

The apparent discrepancy is quite simple. Stems are highly fibrous compared to caps and take longer to digest, so will come on slower. Case solved!

If you mulch up the shrooms right, you wont have to wait for them to digest. I've had them hit me in 10-15 min on an empty stomach
