Will it produce another flush? Yes.
Will it produce another flush potentially larger then leaving it as a cake? Yes.
Will it produce a flush as big as it might have if it was cased first? No.

Think of your cake to casing as a tune up in a car. If you get a tune up in your car after owning it for five years then it will perform better, but not as good as when it was brand new and the plugs and wires have never been used. There are ways to breath new life into an older car but there will come a time that nothing you can do will help the car run any better and it will die. Just like a cake or casing.
