Air Exchange on Incubator?
    #6016846 - 08/31/06 10:08 PM (18 years, 4 months ago)

I am using Magash's incubator design as shown here
http://www.shroomery.org/index.php/par/26177

I was wondering, what sort of air exchange is needed for an incubator full of jars? Would it be advised to cut a hole in the lid and seal a synthetic filter disc over it?

Or is this a throwback to my old terrarium, where I had to fan them every day?

Incubators don't have air exchange, it's not needed.

If you have very many jars in there, you better have a way for the gasses to get out or your jars will suffocate. Fanning once a day should do it.
