First time I posted in this section of the forums and I'm doing so really quick so sorry for any mistakes I just wanted to find out about something quick. What are these and are they valuable? The are not very big, caps about the size of dimes give or take.

Your pictures are very blurry and hard to tell what they are.

Ok I had time to look in my backyard more and seen how many I have out there. I have no pics at this time and I'm not sure how they would come out considering the camera (proof is in the pics of above). Anyways I found that purple mushrooms seem to dominate my backyard. Seeing purple seemed very weird to me but maybe it's nothing. There are also some browns one which is not suprising but if it sounds like I might have something considering the area I'm in (MA) I'll try and get some pics if they are needed. Or if you think you know what I got that would be great too. I'm looking for active mushrooms.

It is doubtful that you will find any actives growing in your backyard in MA. If I were you, I would look for Pan. Subbalteatus on rotting hay/manured areas or perhaps some Gymnopilus spectabilis if you have some forested areas nearby. The Northeast is unfortunately devoid of many interesting active fungi. If you really want to find some, I suggest a nice move 3000 miles West! Worth every inconvenience.
EDIT: By the way, those mushrooms look to be nothing of interest. No idea what they are with those pics. Try to get an identification guide from a library. There are some great guides out there.

My backyard is kinda like a forest area, theres alot of woods....??? But yea I guess you are right. I was hoping I might be able to find something and I did see that there is only two different active types in MA. So I just figured I'd give it a shot.

I wouldn't even go (move) elsewhere even if I had the option. I'm just too used to hunting up here.
Would be nice to try some other parts of the country out once in a while. I have been hunting in every corner of the country already though. I'm still happy hunting over here. If only every year had a decent amount of rain around here
