Heating Blankets?
    #6015275 - 08/31/06 12:31 PM (17 years, 6 months ago)

I was wondering is anyone has ever used a heating blanket during
the growth of the PK tek, or any growth period for that matter.
If anyone has please post any (-) or (+) effects.

I assume it can be used to keep a standy 86ยบ.

I've found heating pads dry out PF jars very quickly.

Use an aquarium heater and 2 rubbermaid bins ^^

not really. it jumps around too much. it is pretty difficult to do because the changing ambient room temp. fucks with it. you are at risk of frying your myc. there are easier ways to do it...heat bomb, or alien's tek, etc... look them up. room temp is not real bad either unless it's cold as hell. but most people on here will advise against heating blankets.

I couldn't get any mycelium to form with a heating blanket.. Ditched it and went with Pro Heat II, and bang! Worked like a charm.
