^Never read 'The Cosmic Puppets' love some PKD! 'Salems Lot' is pretty fun too, enjoy if it's your first read.
:awesomenod:
Just dipped back into some shorts from this anthology, really enjoy short stories and these are varied & accessible scifi.
But what I'm REALLY hyped about right now is:
@deff

:shockandawe:
Amazing insight to so many aspects of the I Ching (from what I've read so far) and the version of the book of changes within is really comprehensive.
Happy reading everyone!

I'm interested to know whether this is actually good. I've heard mixed reactions. Let us know.

Lost at School: Why Our Kids with Behavioral Challenges are Falling Through the Cracks and How We Can Help Them

Ross Greene, 2014

Half of all school teachers leave the career before their fourth year.  I now work in a school and have a glimpse why.  Millions of children are harmed by schools dysfunctional disciplinary systems, as they attempt to stop disruptive behaviors.  ADHD is "diagnosed" as a set of behaviors due to brain malfunctioning, instead of identifying children's lagging skills (such as emotional regulation) and problem solving. We view maladaptive disruptive behavior as a personality trait, instead of a lack of skills to deal with various situations.  We often conclude parents are bad parents.

Notice our judgments when we're shopping and see a child having a temper tantrum.

Adults generally don't view children as having problems.

When I was young, my parents told me I had it easy . . .

As a kid, I engaged in A LOT of disruptive behavior!

I don't know. Maybe I need a workbook. I have some journaling
prompts, but I don't get very far. I guess I got nothing to say.
