The Girl Who Takes An Eye For An Eye. This is in a series written after the orginal Dragon Tattoo author died. Normally I would look askance at this type of thing but it's a good read so far.

Utterly great, I cannot recommend it enough. It is technically sci-fi, but incorporates elements of the supernatural, and takes the stance that the stars are not for man as he is, but rather his evolutionary descendants. The book is about the supernatural beings into which man evolves.
Up next: The Story of B by Daniel Quinn. It has been about twenty years since I last read this, and I recall liking it quite a lot at the time, so we'll see how it holds up. I have some reservations about certain aspects of Quinn's philosophy, but at the same time I respect it a great deal.

Some poetry I'm looking at: You Get So Alone at Times That It Just Makes Sense by Charles Bukowski, and also Dover Thrift's book of Lord Byron.

Just re-read Noam Chomsky's Manufacturing Consent an interesting, albeit depressing read. I really need to start reading fiction again for entertainment. Anyone have some suggestions? Perhaps something sci-fi or paranormal related?

Stormlight Archive and Mistborn are two great fantasy series by Brandon Sanderson, they are very well liked by a lot of people, might be something that you'd like (I loved them)

Arthur C. Clarke is good for sci-fi, and his book Childhood's End is good for the paranormal. You also can't go wrong with Kurt Vonnegut, who was sci-fi-ish and just hilarious.
